Indiana "E-Servants"?

Technical Notes of Encouragement
For All County, City, or Neighborhood
Volunteer e-servants with "Transform Indiana":

The major thing that you can add to the statewide, Christian networking initiative, that we can't, is...
 your willingness, a little of your time, your passion for Christ & your community.  That's the hard part.  The rest is easy.  So if you'll give those, you'll be able to help facilitate loving LINKAGE to others there who are similarly impassioned & gifted.  That's why we're committed to an "easy tech" approach.

Building and maintaining a county or city or neighbor page is not nearly as hard as it looks.
The whole page is really just a compilation of a few pieces -- let's call them 'inserts'.  In fact, you only need to maintain one such insert-piece of it.  Click here to see a sample 'insert' page to maintain.  Everything else is maintained by the statewide "Transform Indiana" web team, so that it comes out looking like this page from "Template County".

And if YOUR county, city, or neighborhood doesn't have someone to maintain even this simple insert- page like this, it can be arranged through the "Urban Collaborative Center" in Indianapolis, as a part of their urban tech center program, for a small donation per month.  It's a win-win situation for the Kingdom of Christ.   Email them to let them know you'd like to get started.  It's a snap.

Btw, you're not out there 'alone'.

FAQ's:  

"If I agree to be a county or city or neighborhood 'e-servant', what am I committing to do, just exactly?

Answer:  You're committing to...

• At least come alongside a team of born-again Christians in your 'geo-zone' (county, city, or neighborhood), to help them put at least a minimal amount of good contact-information out on the web.  If no other team-members are located yet in your 'geo-zone', then your job is really easy, huh?  But if you choose to try to help facilitate FINDING some other team members for your area, that's up to you.  (...God bless you if you choose to help stimulate such in your area, but it is not a requirement; we're just happy you're willing to help in this already-significant way.)

• Let us publish your email address re the web-page of your county, city or neighborhood that you've volunteered for.

• Maintain the little 'insert' page described above.  That is...

  • Save that little file to your hard-drive.  [When surfing it, just click File Save-As... and keep it named "incti_template.htm"... except substitute the name of your geo-zone for the 'template'.
    Example: incti_hamilton.htm .

  • Edit it using your favorite 'editor' software.... (examples... FrontPage, MS Word, or even "Notepad", which comes on every Windows-based pc.  Need help choosing the best one for you?  Email us.)

  • Make it say whatever you think best... given the (Great Commission) mission & objectives of Transform Indiana.  Please obtain an individual's permission before posting their email address or phone#.  [Obviously, this is all subject to good decorum, and in the final analysis, our editorial oversight... but we would never expect this to be a problem.]

  • Update your insert-page as often as you like.

  • Email us the file whenever you've updated it -- we'll post it for you.  [Later, you may be able to post it yourself if you like.  Let us know if you'd like to do that.  We'll talk.]
